LAURA MAY PYOTT

Urban Geo features two capsule collections for fashion print  – ‘Urban Street’ and ‘Geo City’ which are inspired by the Bauhaus designers including Walter Gropius, Gunta Stolz, Piet Mondrian and Anni Albers.

Laura is passionate about the environment and incorporates sustainable and environmentally friendly practices within her design work, using eco-friendly and cruelty free materials and fabrics.

‘Urban Street’ is a fun and playful collection using applied textiles and experimental print processes to inform digital designs, and has been inspired by brands such as Monki and designer Camille Walala. Clashing geometrics in bold colours are applied to fabrics such as recycled denim and other sustainable fabrics.

Inspired by shapes and structures found within architecture, and silhouettes created by Issey Miyake and Balenciaga, ‘Geo City’ recreates traditional check, houndstooth and herringbone patterns for tailored business attire. Designs have been created using a combination of Adobe Photoshop and AVA CAD CAM.
