PHILIPPA HADLEY

‘The Hidden Forest’ is a collection of fabrics and wallpapers for the high end interior market. Inspiration has come from walking in spaces such as Kew Gardens and Tatton Park, as well as archival botanical collections held within the Liverpool World Museum.

This collection aims to bring the outdoors into the indoors, exploring the different textures and plants found within the forests and gardens. The fabrics and wallpapers play with colour, whether it be bold and playful or subtle and sophisticated. This  is shown within the final collection of wallpapers, fabrics and cushions.

As a surface designer Philippa enjoys combining applied processes such as hand painting and drawing which can then be developed digitally using Photoshop and Illustrator. Applied processes such as foiling and stitch are then used to create detail and texture to the designs.
