‘Songbird Reverie’ is a collection of wallpaper and fabric designs aimed towards both American and European markets. Researching birds, their habitat, food and types of trees found within these countries allowed each collection to develop a different identity. 

Painted accurately these birds can be easily recognised by the avid birder. Bird watching is a popular hobby, allowing individuals to identify birds in local areas or by traveling all over the world. These collections show different stories of birds, and their homes, their favourite fruit, flora and fauna. 

As a designer, Leah is inspired by medieval tapestries, illuminated manuscripts and historical wallpaper, which puts a contemporary take on the creation of these two different collections. Leah has become proficient in the use of lino printing enabling her to create unique and quirky elements hidden within the designs.
