CECILIA PEREZ

A collection of bespoke textile art pieces and interior accessories, based on late 18th to early 19th century Neo-Classical and Contemporary Architecture found within London, Manchester, Liverpool and Bolton. 

Cecilia explored the contrast of these historical and modern building through photographic research, exploring different viewpoints as a basis for preliminary drawn studies. 

These were translated into textile samples and one off pieces using a variety of methods including machine embroidery, hand stitch techniques using colourful and pastel threads, cyanotype photographic methods onto paper and fabric, paper cutwork, sublimation printing, hand silk screen printing and the use of digital technologies.
